It was always a special Match, with the former Division Rival Washington Capitals. With hard Battles on the Boards, solid Checks and a deadly PP.

But now both Teams faceing each other as the 1st and 2nd in the Eastern Conference. Both teams so far playing an amazing Season.

The Washington Capitals won 35 of 47 Games, the Florida Panthers won 29 on 49 Games.

But as good as the Teams are so different they are. While the Florida Panthers packed with young Players around the Veterans Campbell, Mitchell and Jaromir Jagr. Jagr who comes back, with Ekblad, Loungo and Coach Gallant from the All Star Game 2016 in Nashville. Where the Panthers where proudly represented by the four Players.

The team from the Washington Capitals is full, with Veteran and experience to the ground with young Talents.

Their are two great Hockey talents that get praised around the League. Evgeny Kuznetsov the Russian Center for Washington 2nd Line played a strong Season. Kuznetsov leading the Washington Capitals with 49 Points and is overall 5th in the Points.

For the Florida Panthers Center Alexander Barkov, who signed lately a six year Contract extension. Barkov who has 31 Points in 39 games go near around the 1 point per game mark as a 20year old Player. Barkov missed a few Games earlie in the Season with a lower Body Injury. But when Barkov stand on the ice, he play his great overall Game. His game is in the class around Andre Kopitar or Patrice Bergeron both two great 2 Way Player.

But for tonight game both Teams play with their Back Up Goalie. Aleksander Ovechkin will not play in this Game is noted as suspended for tonight Game. The Washington Capitals called up Galiev. A former Student of Florida Panthers Coach Gerard Gallant, in St. John.

Injured: Willie Mitchell (lower body), Dave Bolland (lower body)
Scratched: Brandon Pirri

Injured: Brooks Orpik (lower body), Jay Beagle (upper body), Marcus Johansson (upper body)
Scratched: none
Suspended: Alex Ovechkin

Starting Goalies: Al Montoya, Philipp Grubauer

No matter teh great eight is missing tonight Match the offenive Game and the Power Play is dangerous then nothing ever. It will also a battle of the two best defensiv Teams. Washington 104GA, Panthers 108 GA.

I expect are more speedy game then a Physical Battle Game where the first failure will loose the Game.

Let´s Go Panthers! Catch your 2 points tonight.

Howden (6) Asst: Jokkinen (22), Trocheck (14)

Important Points 3rd Periode:

2 early Goals for Washington. both Goals had 1:30Min difference

Speed gone, more Grinding

Panthers stayed calm and get back to their Game after 2 fast Goals

Jagr stayed out complete 2nd half with Hip problem

End of game:

Panthers taking to much penaltys the referees was sharp with Penaltys

Montoya was sharp

PK was Sharp

Again shot accquirence won against mass shot on Goals

Washington PowerPlay was good but the last shot was missing, also the Zone covering for Ovi what open up Room for oshie and Kuznetsov.

Also the Blocking Shots speak for the Panthers. Reminds me a bit of Rangers defensiv play in their Playoffs on 2013/14. Also the Way how the Players Block the Shots.
